This project is a new one, but one that has been my pet for nearly three years. I can say this easily as it has been my desire for those three years, and some research was done during that time. Several experiments were made, but at last I have done it.
Because of the storage medium, the loading of individual books will vary in duration based upon their length; high-speed internet should get these a book within a second and a half.
Because this was primarily my own dream, I have done this according to my own standards: primarily, I have tailored this site to the browsers I prefer and use. You may think me snobby for omitting Internet Explorer from this list, but I (professionally) find this browser to be pointless. Never was there a software package where compliance was claimed yet delivered in tiny, incompatible chunks—save in the case of IE (IE7/8 aren't as bad).
Many thanks to Believer's Resource for providing the source to seven older translations in the XML format. Thanks to this machine-readable medium I was able to write what was needed to transform it into a website.
